Veterans Day on the Outer Banks

Honoring Those That Serve & Sacrifice

This Veterans Day, we observe all those that served and sacrificed. To each and every member of our military, past and present, we are grateful for your bravery and recognize the selfless acts you have made and continue to make to protect our freedoms. On behalf of Twiddy & Company, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Support Our Local Men & Women in Uniform

In appreciation of the service and sacrifices made by local men and women in uniform, the Dare County Board of Commissioners provides a local Veterans Service Office to help veterans and their dependents gain information and assistance in accessing all available benefits.

This year, the advisory council has applied to receive “The Wall That Heals” in 2023 — a traveling three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that tours the country along with a mobile education center. To help the advisory council raise funds for this opportunity or to sign up as a volunteer, click here.
